West of England Music and Arts is offering two exciting opportunities for young musicians in North Somerset, as it trials a new Music Centre at the community hub at Portishead Methodist Church, on Tuesdays between 3.45-4.45pm.
ACOUSTIC GUITAR ENSEMBLE
New ensemble for acoustic guitarists in Years 4-8 with Alex Benson, starting in September 2025, 3:45-4:45pm, Portishead Methodist Church, High Street, Portishead.
Students who have been learning for six months or more welcome to attend. Have fun learning different ensemble music in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Enjoy the opportunity to perform in concerts!
Cost will be £41 per double term (9 sessions).
BEGINNER CLARINET AND SAXOPHONE GROUP
Learn to play clarinet or saxophone from scratch in a group. No experience necessary! Children aged eight upwards are welcome. Starts in September 2025, 3:45-4:45pm, at the community hub at Portishead Methodist Church, High Street, Portishead.
Cost will be £41 per double term (9 sessions).
Introductory offer – free instrument hire until end of March 2026.
