Music Centre – Backwell
There’s a host of ensembles on offer for wind, brass, percussion, and strings, who have recently started learning, through to advanced level. Backwell Music Centre also hosts a Beginner Strings Ensemble at Yatton Infant School on Thursday evenings.
Backwell Saturdays
Juniors (up to Grade 5) – opportunity to play in two or more of the following:
- Junior String Group
- Junior Wind Band
- Junior Combined Ensemble
- Intermediate Ensemble
- Whole Centre Ensemble
Seniors (Grade 5 upwards) – opportunity to play in two of the following ensembles
- String Orchestra
- Wind, Brass and Percussion
- Full Senior Ensemble
When: Saturdays, Term Time.
- Beginners 9.30 – 10.45;
- Juniors and Seniors 9.30am-12.10pm;
Where: Backwell School, Station Road, Backwell BS48 3BX
Yatton Thursdays
A fun and relaxed group for primary aged children who have recently started learning a string instrument (violin, viola, cello or double bass) to come together and play in an ensemble.
When: Thursdays 3.45pm – 4.25pm.
Where: Yatton Infant School, Yatton BS39 4HJ.
