Area School Network Teach Meets
WEMA Teach Meets are a series of FREE peer-to-peer area network meetings, for all primary and secondary phase music leaders. They are open to teachers across North Somerset, South Gloucestershire and Bath and North East Somerset.
The meetings offer a range of CPD presentations, sharing of ideas, initiatives and good practice between teachers – making links across all local area schools and key stages. Plus, there is the chance to chat over a cuppa!

Music curriculum and co-curricular advice and support
- Support for schools to develop music teaching and learning in class and co-curricular activities.
- Helping schools with the DfE’s expectation that all schools have a Development Plan
- Enabling schools to self-evaluate the quality and breadth of their work
Each school is entitled to a FREE one hour visit which will identify the current strengths and opportunities to develop provision. This may include discussion around:
- Whole school music curriculum planning, developing a scheme of work
- Developing extra-curricular music, policy writing, resources audit
- Monitoring and improvement; sharing of lessons to evaluate quality of curriculum delivery of Ofsted recommendations for music, music lesson observation and feedback
- Singing Strategy consultation
- Working effectively with visiting Music Teachers.
- Helping senior leadership and Governors to recognise good teaching practices in music
- Staff meetings to upskill all staff on elements of Music Teaching
- Schools can build an improvement programme using a package of advice and support from us.

Singing & Vocal Skills CPD
Want to build your skills and confidence with singing in your school? Most recently we ran Singing CPD sessions in North Somerset and BANES in March 2025. Perfect for all primary teachers to develop vocal knowledge and ideas. The sessions were led by choral director and composer Emily Barden, who has worked for Sing Up, Philharmonia Orchestra and Britten Pears Arts, among many others. We will announce – via our website, through our schools music bulletin, and our social media channels, Teach Meet sessions that will take place in the future.
Cost: Costs will be advertised when we announce new singing CPD sessions.
Wellbeing Curriculum Support
Members of our music therapy and wellbeing team can support you to develop your whole-school wellbeing curriculum through music.
Cost: £89.90 per hour
NQT Music Support
For EYFS, KS1 & KS2. A member of the Music Hub team will visit your school and support your NQT teachers with their music delivery, ensuring they are confident to deliver the National Curriculum requirements.
Cost: £94 per hour
Whole Staff (School or MAT) Music CPD
Bespoke Music CPD twilight in your school or MAT, developing musical skills and aspects of music teaching, as requested by you.
Cost: £94 per hour
