Sounds Unlimited
A new way to learn music, for young people with low level additional needs or who face barriers to learning, such as anxiety or neurodivergence. Sounds Unlimited offers a fun and relaxed approach, in creative 1-1 sessions which follow the interests of the child and offers a range of instruments and technology to try, explore and learn. You don’t need any previous musical experience, and you will not be expected to learn to read music (unless you want to!)
We will prioritise places for young people who are not accessing music lessons in another setting. The venue is Milton Park Primary School in Weston Super Mare, North Somerset.
Course Structure
In this 10-week course young people will be able to explore piano/keyboard, flute, violin, guitar, electronic instruments and music production (violins and keyboards available for loan for the course duration).
From Session 2, young people will be assigned a specific 30-minute slot. However, they are welcome to stay on site any time between 4.30 and 6.00pm (if accompanied by a parent/carer) if they wish to socialise with other young people. We will have the hall and playground available.
Cost: Standard cost: £50 for the 10-week course. If cost would stop you taking part, we have free places available.
We aim to run another course soon! If you have any questions, please contact Jenni Parkinson, using the button below:
