WEMA aims to inspire everyone to thrive and achieve through the power of music, arts and culture, whatever their ability or life circumstances. That's why we are giving our full support to Future Talent's programmes of financial help for young musicians from low-income backgrounds.

The deadline for this round of programmes is April 26th, so there's still time for young musicians across North Somerset, South Gloucestershire and Bath and North East Somerset, to apply for Future Talent's latest round of programmes.

The programmes are open to anyone who is aged 17 or under (as of 1st September, 2026), is from a household earning £39,000 a year or under, and resident in the UK for three or more years.

Future Talent's programmes cover workshops, masterclasses, performance opportunities on its Junior programme. For the Development Programme there is also a chance to be mentored by a professional musician. And for the Senior Programme there's also offers a professional skills series, an annual residential, audition preparation for conservatoire, and a pathway into the Future Talent Alumni Network.
